Seyyed-Ziaeddin Dorri funeral procession in picture

Part of funeral procession for Iran veteran director Seyyed-Ziaeddin Dorri is held in the Iranian city of Shiraz on August 20, 2018.  

Seyyed-Ziaeddin Dorri had been hospitalized in Shiraz for post-transplant liver problems and passed away on Friday morning, August 17, 2018. Part of his funeral procession was held in Shiraz in the mosque where the holy shrine of Shah-e Cheragh is located.  

The rest of the event is to be held in the Iranian capital city of Tehran where he will be buried. 

During his fruitful artistic life, the director wrote and made several films including 'Thunderbolt' (1984), 'Cinema is Cinema' (1997), 'The Legion' (1998), 'Forbidden Love' (2005) and 'Deborah and I' (2005).

He also directed several TV series, two of which have been aired by ifilm, 'The British Briefcase' (1999) and 'The Pahlavi Hat' (2006-2011).
